OE Current and Upcoming Summer Activities for 2011
Yoga: Women, all of whom suffer from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder are participating in Yoga workshops. The goal is to help facilitate and improve their daily role as primary caregivers to their children.
“I have difficulty with breathing; my body is tense and anxious and I do not know how to breathe well. You cannot imagine how much the Yoga class has helped me, to let go and reduce my pressure from my chest. I am able to forget the bad things; there is no room for bad in this class. The yoga relaxes my body and fills me with positive energy. I was able to sleep better after having gone to this class.” – Miriam, yoga participant
Music and Art Therapy: OE is sponsoring music therapy sessions for children.
Art Therapy for Ethiopian women , diagnosed with trauma.
Therapeutic Horseback Riding: Together with Bituach Leumi, Israel’s National Health Insurance Agency, OE is sponsoring a therapeutic horseback riding camp for children from Be’er Sheva, Ashkelon and Sderot.
