Letter from Mounira S. (dated February 6, 2008)
"At the 6th of August 2006 (The second war with Lebanon) the Racket fall in our home at Haifa in Israel, my brother dead at 29th of August 2007. 388 days he was in coma at the Rambam Hospital in Haifa.
The Operation Embrase help us from last year, and Miss Aviva Tesler, The wonderful woman, help me and my mother a lot, and I wont to thank you very much about all your help to me, to my mother and to all my Family. I wont to thank all of you at the Operation Embrace about all your help for all the people here in Israel in the War Days and after.....!
A special thank for Miss Aviva Tesler about the difficult work that she make here in Israel, Special thank about danger work that she make for us and for everybody here....she is a special woman!!!

Letter from Ruti Z. (Ruti’s 4 year old son was killed and she had one leg amputated as a result of the Kassam rocket attack)
Dear Aviva,
Thank you very much! For a very long time I have not enjoyed myself so much, and simply allowed myself to relax and enjoy. The weekend was very special, we had fun, we laughed , we slept and ate our meals in calm. We enjoyed the activities that you planned for us, and loved the communalsinging. When asked what is like to live in Sderot: Living in S'derot, we cannot really call this "living", it is terrible, and very difficult to describe. It is a terrible way of life, that no man, woman or child should have to endure.
I appreciate very much what Operation Embrace has done for me and my family. Thank you very much Aviva.

Letter from Lior S. (Lior was injured on Aug. 31, 2007. He drives a taxi and heard the alarm. Just when he ran out of his taxi, a Kassam rocket landed near him and left him blind in one eye with shrapnel wounds all over his body.)
Dear Operation Embrace,
The weekend wasenjoyable and relaxing. The communal singing and the childrens' activities were great. I would like to continue regular meetings in our homes. The psychological help and therapeutic outings that Operation Embrace provides helps me a lot. The people of Operation Embrace are warm and good.

Letter from Shlomi, Itzik, Nir and Geut (Geut was injured when a Kassam rocket crashed into her home)
Dear Aviva,
There are people that one minute is an eternity for them. There are people whoinone minute lose hope. There are people who give up and do not look ahead. But you do not let go, your handis on the pulse. You planted in my heart a spark of hope. Your empathy filled my heart with warmth, and for all that I want to thank you today.
Days of perseverance showed me who you are. And so, I lift up my prayers, and ask G-dto bless you and all of your crew who helps you in your holy work that you do together.
I wanted to tell you, in my name, and in the name of my family,one word that says a whole lot, that is wrapped with so much love, one word that brings a smiletothe face and causes goodness in the heart for many years. One word from the bank of words, a good word that says:
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.

Letter from Sarah and Raphael P. (A Kassam rocket landed on Rafi and Sarah’s home on Feb. 8, 2008 and they do not have a protected room in their house, giving them no where to run.)
Dear Operation Embrace,
We thank you for the wonderful hospitality, warm welcome and the hugs. We really enjoyed the therapy session on Friday night with all the terrific people. You are doing do much for S'derot, and we are proud of you, and wish there were more like you. Operation Embrace has wonderful people who contribute money, hugs and love.
We would like others who do not live in S'derot to understand how much we suffer, despite the fact that we love our city. However, since the Kassam fell on our home, it seems like we do not have a day or night without fear. Thank you to Michal, the OE social worker who calls us and checks on how we are.

We, the Mamon family, (Ofra and Shimon) from S'derot, that youfrom the depths ofour hearts, for the computer you gave us. This gift/donation has great importance to diffuse the stresses and occupy our childrenduring the difficult time of the Kassam Rockets falling on our town, when we were not able to go out from our shelters. A special thank you to Michal on being the intermediary and her involvement till the computer arrived. And to you Aviva, the doer, and the giver, Yashar Kochech, and Please G-d there should be more like you in Israel.

I wanted to thank you all for the good days, to thank you for the encouragement and warmth that you project. When I need it, you are there at my side, encouraging, speaking or just hugging me. I feel that you have the need fora multitudeof words, you are not just plain friends, you are for me really a life line.
It is hard for me to describe what is going through my heart right now, you have given me a feeling that there is always someone who cares about me. You have given me so much love and happiness, that I have only one word to tell you and that is THANK YOU.
Operation Embrace has done a lot for me and for my family, we appreciate it with all our heart. You are like angels on a higher mission, and you do your work perfectly. I want to thank you for the help and the support, for giving me some happy moments after the horrible tragedy.

Dear Operation Embrace and Aviva Tessler,
My name is Ilana S. and I would like to thank you all from the bottom of my heart, for your positive response to my need, and for your help, that you sent my dear daughter Gal, to a summer camp, that she has been wanting so much to attend. You are very dear people and you caused my daughter joy and happiness in her heart. Because of your effort my daughter was able to attend summer camp.
There is no greater happiness in the world than for a Mother to see her daughter full of the joy of life. You did a great mitzvah, and you have a big merit in Shamayim (heaven), that you cause kids to be happy.
May is be that the Holy One Blessed Be He will stand at your side at all times, and with all you do, and give you the strength and the wherewith all in helping and bringing joy to other, Amen and Amen.
